OLANGA HOUSE
DESCRIPTION
10 Guests, 4 Bedrooms, 6 Beds, 3 Baths
Explore beautiful Lake Naivasha from this stunning rustic modern house overlooking a wildlife conservancy. The house was lovingly built with clay floors, high-beamed ceilings, huge pivot windows, and antique details for a luxurious but charming feel. The house borders Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, so enjoy the views of giraffes and zebras from your spacious verandah and lush peaceful garden. Fine dining at Ranch House Restaurant & food shopping at La Pieve Farm Shop is just 5 minutes away!
The house has three king bedrooms and one room with a double bed and a bunkbed. All kitted out in the finest Egyptian cotton. Three terrazzo bathrooms all contain hot and powerful showers (one has a bath), toilets and sinks as well as fragrant bathroom products. One of the bedrooms is within its own private cottage but still only 10m or so from the main house as an extra-special romantic space for a lucky 2 (or an independent teenager)! Another beautiful bedroom has its own 4 poster bed, dressing room and verandah. But all four bedrooms enjoy huge windows looking out onto the wildlife and a guaranteed great night's sleep :
The spacious open-plan kitchen and living room has a brand-new oven, induction hob, huge fridge and two BBQs to make sure it is a cooking and eating paradise! The pantry full of herbs and spices certainly helps with this too. Brass spotlights, built-in bluetooth ceiling speakers, a comfy sofa, a well-stocked bookcase, modern wardrobes, nightstands with drawer space, a TV room and reliable wifi networks complete the space. The verandah is our favourite hang-out spot and is the best place to spend the evenings curled up on the furniture while looking at the stars above and the warthogs just feet away from you! Plenty of jikos and outdoor cooking equipment will be available to help you make the most of Naivasha’s outdoor lifestyle. The 2 acre garden will be yours alone and a great space to play games, sunbathe or play with a pooch! Take a one minute stroll to the ‘picnic area’ of the garden where two corners of the sanctuary meet each other and where you can witness the daily walks of buffalos, giraffes and even leopards just metres away from you behind the electric fence while you have a drink under the sparkling solar lights.

Alicia’s place is perfect for a getaway weekend with your dog. It has the best spot to relax and enjoy a nice cup of tea while seeing George the giraffe an other animals walking around. 'Marisol'
What a great experience. The cottage is very well designed with lots of details. The hosts, Alicia and Sam, are very welcoming and generous. Would definitely come back! 'Sam'
Where to start... my husband and I have travelled a fair bit through Kenya and so far hands-down this has been our best experience yet! The beautifully decorated acacia cottage comes with all the creature conforts that any nature lover can ask for. We especially loved the wonderful firepit and the fact that you can take long walks on the grounds and watch curious warthog families as you go. Another unexpected treat was the fact that you stay right next to the conservancy which is brimming with wildlife. The best advice I can give you is just to go. Paul, the house manager is an absolute superstar and will arrange anything to ensure you have a 5-star stay. And last but not least there is wonderful choma, the lab, who gladly invites cuddles and belly rubs. We will most certainly be back. Asante sana. 'Ineke'
